Esley is originally from the city of Chicago and graduated from UIC with a BA in Criminal Justice. After far too many years in the real world as a paralegal, she decided to return to school to focus on her writing; creative nonfiction to be specific. Her favorite song is Eric Cartman's rendition of Lady GaGa's "Pokerface." Growing up two blocks from Wrigley Field, she was cursed with becoming a lifelong Cubs Fan. She is a founding member of Annette, the hottest pop trio since Destiny's Child. Jack Kerouac, Tom Petty, and Barney Stinson are her heroes. Being awesome is her number one priority.
